Our volunteers are the heart of Re-Form Heritage and Middleport Pottery, their invaluable experience and knowledge helps to bring the history of Middleport Pottery alive for our visitors.
We have a range of volunteering opportunities available, these include: Tour guides, Historians, Aarchivists, Educators, Engineers, Communicators, Narrowboat crew Storytellers, Retail staff and Fundraisers.
As a volunteer you will be welcoming people from all over the world to the Middleport Pottery, and it is the role of volunteers to ensure that every visitor has a unique and unforgettable experience.
Tour Guides
Your role is to guide our visitors through the factory tour giving them a comprehensive insight into the journey from clay to finished ware
Retail
Help support the day-to-day running of the Middleport Pottery Gift Shop
Archivists
Work of part of a team logging all objects in our archive ensuring everything is documented correctly
Engineering & Maintenance
Help support with the maintenance of the Steam Engine or help with the General Maintenance of the site
Educators
Help support our formal and informal learning programmes
Narrowboat Crew
Help support the maintenance and running of our heritage working narrowboat "Dane". You would also be expected to support customer tours and some weddings.
