Q – What are your opening hours?

Middleport Pottery: 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week

The Packing House Cafe: 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week

The Middleport Pottery Gift Shop: 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week

The Burleigh Factory Shop: 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Sunday

Port Street Range & Harper Street Tenants: Opening times vary, please view their individual Facebook profiles for further information

Please Note: We are closed on selected days during the Christmas period

 

Q – Is there parking?

Yes! Free on-site parking is available on-site and there is also additional on-street parking and an overflow carpark located on Travers Street

 

Q – Are groups welcome?

Yes! Everyone is welcome here at Middleport Pottery. For larger tour groups we do have selected pre-bookable packages available such as buffet lunch, group tours and the virtual factory tour. Please call 01782 499766 or email infor@re-form.org for more information

 

Q – Is Middleport Pottery wheelchair accessible?

Site: The site has cobbled streets but we are wheelchair accessible

Parking: Disabled parking is located by the side of Harper Street across from the main entrance. On-street parking is also available

Heritage Trail: The heritage trail is accessible with the exception of the Bath House. Please also ask a member of staff or a volunteer for assistance entering the Victorian Offices (staff & volunteers can be identified by their orange lanyard)

Factory Tour: Unfortunately the factory tour is not accessible due to steps and because it is still a working factory. For groups of disabled guests we are able to provide a Virtual Factory Tour experience, please call 01782 499766 or email info@re-form.org for further information

The Packing House Cafe: The lower floor of our cafe is wheelchair accessible

Event Rooms: The Burgess Room has direct lift access and The Regal Peacock & Davenport Gallery are also accessible (via the Burgess Room lift). These areas are used for private room hires and indoor events such as the Artisan Markets

Disabled Toilets: There are several disabled toilets located around site and a “changing places” area is also available and is located inside the entrance to Harper Street (across from the main site entrance)

Q – Is Middleport Pottery child friendly?

Yes! We do however ask that all children are accompanied by an adult at all times

Heritage Trail: Suitable for all ages. Under 18’s – £4 and Under 5’s go FREE

Factory Tours: Not suitable for under 8’s. Ages: 8 to 18 – £10

Events: There are several Children’s & Family events  held here at Middleport Pottery throughout the year. These include Play with Clay and Santa

Junior Explorers: We offer a children’s membership which offers Free Play with Clay and priority access to our most popular children’s events

Q – Does Middleport Pottery offer a school learing programme?

Yes! We offer a comprehensive learning programme to both schools and private tutors. For further information please email learning@re-form.org

Q – Is Middleport Pottery dog friendly?

Yes! Dogs are welcome onsite so please don’t leave them in your car or on your narrowboat in warm weather. We do kindly ask that dogs are kept on-lead at all times and their well -rained humans clean up when needed (there are lots of metal external bins onsite)

Heritage Trail: The heritage trail is accessible to our four-legged visitors

Factory Tour: Unfortunately the Factory Tour is not accessible with dogs as it is a working factory. If you do have a dog with your party we can provide a waiting area for a member of your party to wait with their dog while other group members take the tour

The Packing House Cafe: Offers indoor seating & outdoor canal-side seating

Event Rooms: Are accessible to our four-legged visitors

Q – Is there an on-site cafe?

Yes! The Packing House Cafe is located next to the Trent & Mersey canal and offers indoor and outdoor dog-friendly seating

Q – Does the cafe cater for dietary requirements?

Yes! We offer a selection of Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-Free options. We will also try and support other dietary requirements but pre-booking is required in this instance. For further details please call 01782 499766

Q – Do you offer Afternoon Tea?

Yes! Afternoon Tea and Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea (savory version) are available. Pre-booking is required at least 24-hours in advance. Please call 01782 499766 to book

Q – Do you allow group bookings?

Yes! We do ask that larger groups pre-book their table by calling us on 01782 499766

Q – Is smoking & vaping allowed on-site?

No – Smoking & vaping are not permitted inside or outside on the main Middleport Pottery site or across the road at Harper Street

Q – What footwear is required for factory tours?

Yes! To be allowed to take part in a factory tour it is a safety requirement that customers wear fully enclosed flat shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, etc are not permitted as it is a working factory

Q – Is on-site photography allowed?

Yes! We do allow photography for personal use on-site. Some photography is allowed on factory tours please ask your tour guide where you can take pictures. For professional photography inquiries please email info@re-form.org

Q – Do you offer room hire?

Yes! We offer celebration and corporate room hire. Please email events@re-form.org for more information

Q – Can Middleport Pottery be used as a fiming location?

Yes! We will consider all on-site filming requests. Middleport Pottery has already been used a filming location for several tv productions. Please email comms@re-form.org
