The Packing House Café

Things might look a bit different over the next couple of weeks while we have some filming onsite. The film crew will be with us from 8th – 17th July. Don’t worry,  we’ve still got lots to see and do as usual during this time.

Our café is open throughout this period, with the exception of the 14th & 15th  when it will be closed.  For the rest of the period, access to the cafe will be through our stepped side door but plenty of upstairs seating and disabled access to our Burgess Room. There will also be no canalside benches or tables for the café during this time.

Our Harper Street studios and Burleigh Factory Shop will be open as usual on 14th and 15th July but our main site and café will be closed while they film the exciting bits.

The Packing House Cafe at Middleport Pottery is an award-winning cafe located beside the historic Trent & Mersey canal and  is one of Stoke-on-Trent’s hidden gems. We are dog friendly and we also have a secure bike rack for visiting Cyclists.

We look forward to serving guests locally sourced & freshly prepared food that includes traditional Staffordshire dishes. We also offer a menu for children and can accommodate guests with special dietary requirements.

Enjoy Afternoon Tea at The Packing House Cafe 

Served on Burleigh Ware that is all made here on-site at Middleport Pottery.

Our Afternoon Tea consists of: A selection of freshly made sandwiches on white or brown bread garnished with salad. Fillings include Caesar chicken with bacon, ham, mature cheddar and tuna. Served with a cup of freshly cut homemade chips, a selection of traditional cakes, fruit or cherry scone with jam & clotted cream and tea or coffee.

Prices start from £21.95 per Adults, £12.95 per Child
