“We are Middleport” is brought to you by Phil Crow whose "Fortyseven: The Last Bottle Ovens & Kilns of The Potteries" was exhibited in our bottle oven last year.

This is a 10th Anniversary event celebrating 10 years of Middleport Pottery as a heritage visitor attraction & creative hub. “We are Middleport” focuses on the working community of Middleport, examining the skills of Burleigh Pottery, Steelite International and finally looking to the future with the amazing students of Clay College. This exhibition is dedicated to all the workers in The Potteries: Sponsored by Allen Signs Ltd

From Longport to Newport Lane (Middleport), the tour will look at how Middleport’s industry has evolved along this stretch of the Trent and Mersey Canal incl. Price and Kensington, Middleport Pottery and Burslem Branch Canal. It will take in the past, present, and looks to the future of this landscape.

Set in a fictitious pot bank, Stoke on Trent, 1956
Stevo, little Alf and Jeff work the night shift. It's their reward, their right of passage for years of dedicated service. But on one particular night, events unfold that ensure its the last night shift for each of them. Can friendships really stand the test of time!!!

Join us for this original play with songs, set in a pot bank with potteries dialect and accent. Suitable for ages 16 and over.

Brought to you by Don’t Go Into The Cellar Theatre Company. Join the great Victorian novelist Charles Dickens as he brings to life one of the most famous ghost stories of all time. A tale of revenants and redemption, hauntings and humbug, seasonal spooks and sentiment. Jonathan Goodwin performs as Dickens in this one-man performance, co-directed by Goodwin and Gary Archer.
