Further funding secured for Harper Street: Engagement in HeritageThe United Kingdom Historic Building Preservation Trust (Re-Form Heritage) is delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing further funding for the Harper Street: Engagement in Heritage project. A total of £130,000 has been generously awarded from The Pilgrim Trust, Foyle Foundation and the Denise Coates Foundation.
Harper Street is located opposite Middleport Pottery, which has been opened to the public as a thriving heritage attraction since 2014 under the stewardship of Re-Form Heritage. The £1.7m Harper Street project will renovate 11 red-brick terraces houses, which sit within the Trent and Mersey Canal Conservation Area, into seven new workshop spaces for creative businesses, an accessible archive, community centre and a 1930s heritage experience located within the pottery factory’s former Lodge Keepers house.

Re-Form Heritage is dedicated to transforming historic buildings into self-sustaining assets which support the local community and catalyse further development. Building upon the success of Middleport Pottery, the Harper Street project will also implement the mixed-use model of business, community use and visitor economy to ensure long-term sustainability for these significant heritage buildings.”
