Introduction
Re-Form Heritage are a growing charity in the UK’s exciting heritage sector. We are looking for part time Casual Events and Operations Support staff to help deliver our busy events programme and provide reception and similar support cover for day-to-day operations. Middleport Pottery is a vibrant and varied heritage attraction and the post would cover a range of operational areas, making each shift different. The post will be line-managed by the Head of Middleport Pottery Operations & Engagement.
As Casual Events and Operations Support you may be asked to :
• Provide sickness and holidays cover for Reception .
• Be part of the team delivering our events, this may be evenings, weekends or during normal working hours.
• Support café staff during very busy periods, special events or late notice sickness.
• Be part of the team supporting our other existing offers with additional duties, such as support room turnarounds for schools or weddings.
• Other duties as may be appropriate

Casual Events & Operations Support Full Details

Skilled Handyman,, Re-Form Heritage

Stoke-on-Trent
£18,252 (£13 ph)
Permanent 0.6 FTE, Shift times will be the hours of 8am to 5.30pm Tuesday to Thursday – 27 hours per week.

Introduction
Your role will be to support the general day-to-day safety, security, maintenance, and cleanliness of the Middleport Pottery site.

Your core tasks will include:
• Attend relevant training to support development of role and skills.
• Opening and closure of site daily including opening/closing heritage areas.
• General site maintenance and repair.
• Regular site inspection and fault logging.
• Manage external / non-visitor access to the site, ensuring site guidelines are observed.
• Be the first point of contact for contractors working on site and undertake qualification checks, site induction and asbestos management procedures related to contractors.
• Managing day-to-day health and safety.
• Assistance in preparation of risk assessments, regular review of risk assessments.
• Regular testing and care of safety systems (fire alarm tests).
• Regular heath and safety testing e.g. legionella.
• Regular day-to-day asbestos management.
• Monitoring cleanliness of site.
• Ensure all fire signage and equipment is legally compliant and monitored and recorded as per legislation.
• Maintain safe conditions and safe working practices within all the facilities.
• Adhere to company and statutory health and safety procedures and policies.
• Assist managers and other staff with events, movement of supplies, furniture etc.
• Upkeep of external areas,
• Support and supervise students and apprentices on work experience,
• Provide cover for front of house / reception.
• Key holder.
• Any other duties that are appropriate to the post.

Cleaner (3 Day),, Re-Form Heritage

Middleport Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent
£5949 (£11.44 ph)
Permanent 0.26 FTE, shift times will be the hours of 9am to 12.30pm Monday, Tuesday and Sunday - 10 hours per week. Occasional holiday and weekend cover may be required.

Introduction
Re-Form Heritage are recruiting an experienced cleaner to join a small cleaning team. You would be responsible for supporting the team through a scheme of regular cleaning in a historic grade II* listed Victorian pottery. Tasks include mopping, brushing, cleaning bathrooms, surfaces and other general cleaning tasks.

About the Role
Your role will be to support the general day-to-day cleanliness of the Middleport Pottery site.

Your core tasks will include:
• Undertake cleaning duties in areas as directed.
• Report maintenance issues immediately, e.g. broken equipment.
• Be responsible for ordering and maintaining cleaning equipment stock.
• Clean and maintain communal areas within the heritage site, including
cleaning surfaces and vacuuming and dusting.
• Have an understanding and comply with all COSHH regulations.
• Work within the relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Maintain safe conditions and safe working practices within all the facilities.
• Adhere to company and statutory health and safety procedures and policies.
• Any other duties that are appropriate to the post.
